About Me

Hi, my name is Meg Elam and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I truly love what I do and consider it a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they seek change in their lives. I believe that human beings need true connection and community with others to thrive. This is hard to achieve when we are wearing masks…pretending that we are okay when we are really hurting inside.

With 18 years of experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma, I understand that life can be overwhelming and difficult at times.   In therapy, I create a safe space where you can be honest with your feelings, feel nurtured, develop hope, gain coping tools and ultimately create change in your life.  I use a strength-based approach incorporating various evidence-based treatments, depending on your personal needs.  I am not a therapist that will nod silently at you, leaving you wondering if I'm awake!  I am honest, compassionate, nurturing and action-oriented.

On a personal note, I am a woman of strong faith and I am happily married with 4 active children.  I drive carpools, cheer my kids on at sporting events, prep meals and do mounds of laundry! I love the beach, working out and time with friends and family. As a busy mother, wife and friend, I understand how overwhelming and complicated life and relationships can feel at times. Things can get better.

Please call or email me today for a free consultation. I would love the opportunity to work with you.

Best,

~Meg
